Save Marriage Before Starts
Forgiveness And Acceptance by Alan Ross
Fairy tale stories are better left in books for they can never happen in real life. Married couples, at certain point of their relationship, will have to deal with certain issues that can break their marriage and lead to unfortunate turn of events. But if you truly value the years that you have spent with your partner and you feel that there is still a way to patch up, do it.
Apart from communication, other good keys that can help save a marriage are forgiveness and acceptance.
These two are always together. You cannot just forgive your partner and never accept him back. You cannot also accept your partner without forgiving him/her for what he/she did. Forgiveness and acceptance are never without each other. Moreover, you also need to accept that you are both humans. You make mistake, and your partner too can do you wrong.
While it can be very difficult to forgive a person, especially if you trust and love him/her, you have to accept that if you want to correct everything you have to be ready to start all over again.
Handle the issue calmly
You will never resolve anything if you are going to scream and shout at your partner. Arguments can only make the issue worse. Muster up your courage and talk to your partner as peacefully as you can. It is hard, but this is the only way that the both of you can talk. Once one of you starts shouting, it will continue on and on until the both of you are fed up.
Take some time off for yourself
If you feel that you are still not ready to forgive your partner for what he/she has done, then do not force yourself. You will only hurt yourself if you will pretend that everything is okay between the two of you. Express your thoughts and all your feelings to your partner. It will help him/her know how he/she can earn your trust again. If you want to get out of your house and walk around, do it. Do everything that can help you clear your mind before deciding on how you will handle the issue. Handle the problem maturely, and do not decide on hastily if you do not want to regret the outcome later on.
Most ladies will do what it takes to save their marriages. Some are even willing to forget everything if their partner promised never to do the same again. Make your partner swear that he/she will do what it takes to save your marriage. In turn, if you are the offending party, make sure that you make it up to your partner. Do everything that you can in order to gain his/her trust back. Once the trust is destroyed, it can be a little difficult to patch everything again. Thus, learn how you can win your partner's trust once again.
Forget and move on
Once the two of you have already talked about your state and both of you have decided to bury the hatchet, do not bring it up in any future arguments. Do not complicate the issue by adding up another issue on top of it. Always remember that after forgiveness and acceptance, there is the moving on part. Move away from the issue and look forward to good times together.
Time is not your enemy
Forgiveness and acceptance are not always easy. Rebuilding trust will not happen overnight. Although these are necessary to have in a strong marriage, be ready to put the time and effort needed into these areas. Look to the future and look for the small gains each and every day.
