I'm usually drawn to compassionate, kind, aware, intelligent, quirky, eccentric, genuine, and funny people. I tend to be drawn to people from other countries, especially if English is not their first language. I like readers and out-doorsy, kinds of people. I prefer people who understand the connectedness of everyone in society and who work toward keeping that connection as positive as possible.
Physical traits in the opposite sex that draw me are lovely eyes that show a sense of humor (laugh and smile lines), open body language, usually a taller, stronger kind of build (though my husband is shorter than I am), bald, deep voice, and working hands (I'm not attracted to a guy whose hands look as if they never do anything more difficult than type).
I don't care about fashion sense. In fact, if a guy is too fashionable, I pretty much figure he's shallow and a "pretty boy" who is all about the surface, but doesn't have much depth. I'd rather see a guy who looks like he spends alot of time outdoors and is smart with his money. Alot of people are stupid with money they don't have just to look like they have the money, thinking that this somehow impresses people.
Snobby attitudes turn me off, showing off in a monetary or superficial way, putting others down, being rude or crass, swearing, driving fast, rude, or obnoxiously, having their car radio so loud your fillings rattle, opinionated without intelligence or thought ("my mind is made up; don't confuse me with facts"), never letting you get a word in, being a poor listener or uncompassionate, discussing past sexual conquests, and nose-picking.
