wise&relationship smart people please help. thank you!?
my ex of six years and i were working our way through school and eventually going to get married, but about 4-5 months ago he left broke up with me and said he was 22 and has been with me since he was fifteen and wanted to get the chance to be a guy and have freedom. i guess he felt like his life was passing him by too fast and he was missing out on the chance to be young and make mistakes and date other people. it was very hard for him to leave me and he cried for 2 days ! now he does not talk to me at all .... and yes he has moved on and started dating again. he dosnt speak to me because its impossible to remain friends after loving like that. but its been this long and ive moved on myself... but deep down i really do love him still. when i hear of him or see him around my world just stops, its indescribable. Do you think there is a chance he could be back in my life. i just know he loves me.
My friend married at a really young age and when she turned 21 she realized that she was married with a young child and had not lived the life her peers were living. She eventually divorced.
The bottom line is that you change so much between 15 and 25 and what you wanted in a relationship when you were a teenager is not what you want when you are in your 20s. I am sure that what he wants now will change again over the next few years. You've invested so much of your life in this guy, it is understandable that you'd want to regain status quo but I wouldn't count on it happening right away, if at all. You should move on with your life and figure out what you want. Maybe the two of you will reconcile but the statisics are probably against you.
