Im 18 years old, and I've found out that my parents are getting divorced.?

I found divorce web sites on my moms computer. Divorce books from the library in my parents bedroom, and in my dads office was a note of all of the debts that still needs payed off along with child support prices. The problem is that they haven't told me yet. And also i dont want to tell my sisters, and im so affraid to ask my parents about it. What am I suppost to do..?

You could start by buying this book for each of them to read.

Though 18 makes you a legal adult, it does not necessarily means you are emotional mature. Males are not until age 30, and females at age 24, so your feelings about this are still those of any child whose parents are considering this. As such, its effect on you and any younger siblings do necessitate the need to approach them about what is happening and what the future holds.

All children over the age of 18 should have a sit down with them to address their concerns. This is not only your right as a result of their marriage, but also simply because you are concerned with the paths they have chosen take, which just because they are older, does not mean they are making the right choices.

Further in this, if there are younger siblings, the issue of custody needs to be addressed. One parent need not have custody of the children, but rather the children can have joint custody of the parents. This is called Bird Nest Custody, under which the parents are allowed to live in the how with the children a specified period of time, then they switch places.
